At the end of December, schools across the GIA family in China and Japan held the first ever Rise Up for Performing Arts (RUPA) awards, celebrating the talents of students in all grades in the performing arts, from film making, original songs to art and piano performances. Each school held an award ceremony and Griggs China gifted the winners and runners up with a certificate and cash prize of $100 for the winners and $50 for the runners up across two grade categories: grades 5 to 9 and grades 10 to 12.
2020年12月底，GIA中国和日本的学校举行了有史以来的首次“冉冉之星表演艺术奖（RUPA）”颁奖典礼，以表彰来自各个年级的同学们在电影制作、原创歌曲和艺术表演等方面展现出来的才华。每一所学校都举行了颁奖典礼，格里格斯中国办公室向5-9年级组以及10-12年级组冠军和亚军获奖者颁发了证书和现金奖，冠军奖金100美元，亚军奖金50美元。

“She's a perfectionist to her fingertips. She is the first student who told me she will participate in the RISE UP Program, and she is also the last one to hand in her video. She made the video all by herself, after the modifications over and over again. And she never gave up, I'm so proud of her.”
“她是指尖上的完美主义者。是第一个告诉我她将参加“冉冉之星”竞赛的学生，也是最后一个提交视频作品的人。她精益求精，从未放弃，我为她感到骄傲。”
