在今年二月和三月,中国向世界呈现了一场了不起的冬奥会和残奥会;在此期间,中国人民用世界语言向全球传播了体育精神和中国文化。
在5月27日国际英语日即将到来之际,5月20日合肥常青学校秉承 “中国底蕴,国际视野” 的办学宗旨,开展一场以 “用英语分享运动喜悦” 为主题的英语日活动,来延续奥运精神并推动用英语这门国际语言来传递新时代的感染力和生命力。
此次活动采取学生参与活动并集章的赛制。
我们在室外篮球场上设置4个活动展台,每个展台的活动都结合了运动和英语。学生们用英语参加每个展台的活动,如果通过,老师会在集章卡上盖一个章。最终学生凭借集章卡到奖品区兑换奖品。集齐4个章,对应一种奖品;集齐3个章,对应一种奖品;集齐1-2个章,可从鼓励奖品中随意挑选1个。
活动一. Ring Toss & Short Answer Question(套圈答题 )
On the day of the activity, students should throw the ring to determine whether they can cover the question cards. If yes, then students can answer the question listed on the card (only the right answer is available); If not, then they can not get stamped.
活动二. Play Twister(扭扭乐)
We'll lay Twister on the floor. Students need to make corresponding hand and foot movements according to the instructions of foreign teachers. If correct, they will get a stamp; If they do not understand the instructions or the posture is wrong, no stamp either.
活动三.Racing Words Spelling(赛跑拼词)
We'll prepare three machines for reading pictures and spelling words. Students work in groups of three. Whoever can spell the word correctly in the shortest time after running to the booth will get a stamp, while the rest of 2 will not be awarded.
活动四.I Do You Guess(你比我猜)
We will prepare handouts including certain kinds of sports gestures and English expressions. Students can work in pairs- one acts based on the picture presented by teachers while the other one guess the sport’s name. For correct guessing, both two students will get a stamp respectively.
